Curling up with a book...

So, I finished 'Derby Girl.' It's funny b/c usually when I read a book, I take something from it...whether it's the author's style or language or something that I learned. I got nothin' from this one. Here's a quick recap of the story...rebellious teen in a small town discovers something cool, runs away to get involved, has a ball, falls in love with a boy who breaks her heart, loses her best friend and can't figure out why, gets caught by mom, runs away, goes back home, all is forgiven, things get back to normal, then the big twist is that mom suddenly becomes accepting of this cool something and the end. It was all very bland...which is why I don't do book reviews.

On a positive note, I got a little more done on the new book. Yeah, that's all I got for now...there will be more news on the magazine soon.
