So, I was off today b/c I was really sick this morning. I decided to take the time to work on the re-write of Penny (formerly Blood and Thunder). I even managed to shoot the cover today. I had gotten the idea from Sinner (there's a link to her blog over on the right) and well, I had some time on my hands today. I went to the store, got some white poster board, corn syrup and food coloring. I took some practice shots so that I could make sure that my lighting was okay (I didn't have any special lighting, but I could've rigged something if I needed to). After I was happy w/ the position of the skates, I set to making up some blood. It wasn't hard, actually. I poured some corn syrup in a bowl and a bunch of red food coloring (and a drop of blue), then more red...and voila! Instant blood! Then, I pooled the "blood" and set up the skates...I think it turned out pretty good. Check it out!
