Axed...

So, my ref career is officially short-lived. I got the ax today, but no biggie....I think that the girl I talked to felt worse about it than me. Of course, I probably could've tried harder...I do have very keen observation skills, so such a thing should come easy. On the plus side, though, it did help out a bit in my research for Blood and Thunder (a title that I might change-I am thinking of going with Penny, she's the main character and I'm just not that creative when it comes to coming up with the title of a book). I suppose that I was just observing the wrong thing. No biggie, it gives me time to work on the magazine...I haven't put anything in concrete just yet, but I have put the new website up at http://www.derbygal.org/.

Oh, so let's talk about the mag. I'm starting out with it online and hoping that I can get back into print. Issue #2 is still available and I'd like to get issue #1 back in print as well. I'm not gonna talk a whole lot about the stories that I'm working on, but I've got two in mind at the moment. I am going to post some stuff from the ill-fated third issue, though. I've also got to find some more contributors and figure out exactly how I'm going to do the layout...that sort of thing.

Hmmm, nothing new on the book. I'm still working on the re-write and I think it's going well...just really slow because I haven't had a whole lot of time to put into it. Hey, now I've got lots of extra time on my hands. What else? Oh, yeah, still working on my big fat ass...the work out has gone a little lax lately b/c my week's been broken up and I'm no good when I get out of my routine. Damn this OCD. I am going to skip my workout tonight, but I'll start back up tomorrow at my seven day a week thing
