A writer writes...always

First person that can tell me what movie that line comes from gets drinks on me...for real. Anyhow, despite the origin of this quote, it is a very true statement. I am working on putting the finishing touches on the new issue of the magazine, but I'm still waiting on some stuff, so there is only so much that I can do.

In the meantime, I'm watching TV and Netflix...which, I have to admit here and now-Supernatural is my favorite show. I freakin' love it...not as much as I love Wonder Woman, but really; who can compete with Wonder Woman?? But I love Supernatural, good stuff. Plus, I have a weird crush on the older brother on the show...he's so cute and he has an adorable smile. Enough about man candy, though. I'm also watching random movies that were in my queue. I have to comment on one in particular. I saw the previews for this movie, Joshua. I thought it was going to be good because it's got Sam Rockwell and Dallas Roberts in it and I like both of them. This movie sucked, so bad that the suck sucked...okay? It was a huge test of my patience with movies. Ya know, there are some that you have to have patience in order to get that badass payoff in the end. Anybody see Sleepaway Camp? It was totally dumb, but the ending...holy shit, that was just great. The big payoff at the end? The kid just wants to be with his big gay uncle...he kills his grandmother and drives his mother insane and gets his dad to beat the shit outta him in public. That sounds like it might be the works for a good film, but it actually sounds better on paper than on screen.

Speaking of stuff being on paper...I've been tooling around with some new stuff and trying to find the right story to really just dig into. I think I've finally found it and oddly, it's a love story. I haven't written a good love story in a really long time, so maybe it's due. Of course, if any of y'all have ever ready any of my books...you'd know that there's some twists and turns and stuff. The shortest distance between two points is a straight line...has anybody ever known me to walk the straight and narrow? My aforementioned crush is the straighest thing going on here.
