Stupid TV...

Okay, so is there a cosmic rule or something that says that on my days off, there shall be nothing good on TV? I'm getting my work done on the magazine, but I like to have that stuff going on in the background...jeez. Since I sold off almost all of my DVDs to help fund the magazine, I only have a handful left that I can watch. I have officially seen Mommie Dearest enough times to be related to Joan Crawford and I know every line, lyric and dance move from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. On top of that, I now know every single line to Closer. Funny thing about that movie, though...I can't stand Julia Roberts or Jude Law, but this is one of my absolute favorite movies (Natalie Portman and Clive Owen outshine the aforementioned-must be why both won Golden Globes and were Oscar-nominated while the aforementioned were not mentioned). Wow, that turned into a great little rant, didn't it?

I do have a couple of movies on my DVR, but I have memorized every single one of those, as well. Thank Conn's (I will not thank God, because he didn't sell it to me) for my Xbox 360. I've gotten pretty good at Hitman, but the latest assignment is a bitch. New Orleans during Mardi Gras and I have to bump off three jokers in bird outfits. The cool thing is that after I bump off any of the birds, I get to put on the bird costume and run around like that.

I am so ready to change my schedule to nights...I haven't been able to get to sleep before 3 AM in the last week. Dunno what that's about, but I am going to try to go to bed early tonight. I really need to be peppy when I get to work in the morning. I really do a lot better on the phones when I'm in a good mood and not totally sleepy.

I do have good news...I've got three bands confirmed for the Derby Gal benefit in January at Trophy's. I'm excited because the bands are good and we should get a decent draw. If the show is a success, it does prove my Golden Rule...if you want something done, do it yourself.
