Lazy ass...

Okay, so I was kinda bad today....but I won't get in trouble for it-it's not that kinda bad. We have this thing at work where we can get time off without pay and there's a lot of that time available this month. When I went in this morning, I just asked if I could take one of those days and they approved it. So, I went home and went back to bed...until noon. It was lovely...really. I didn't get paid for it, but I had some good reasoning that went along to even cancel that out. See, today was the beginning of the pay period and wouldn't affect the last pay period...it just means that I can't take any more of these days in the next two weeks.

I put in for my schedule change yesterday and I won't know if I get the vampire shift until the middle of next week. But, if I do, I start that on the 23rd. I am excited about the change and looking forward to a different kind of a challenge. It does mean that I'll have to take off some days when the derby season starts because there is a good chance that I'll end up working Sunday nights. That's no big deal, though...derby is a perfectly good reason to miss work.

Jeez, I feel like I should write something clever here...I don't have much clever to write at the moment. I'm just making lots of plans and scheming at the moment so I don't have the chops to be clever right now. I will say this, though...I am very excited for what's to come in 2008.

Speaking of which...what about a year in review for 2007? Saturn returned and kicked my ass, to say the very least. I had 6 jobs this year...that's more than I've had in the previous 10 years. It's been rocky and rough and I've learned a lot about the people around me and have seen some true colors...I'm definitely much wiser for the decisions that got me here. I would repeat each and every one of them in a heartbeat.
