Around the bend...

Okay, so I got a reassuring phone call this morning and money may be right around the bend. I don't wanna jinx it, but I'll just say that it'll be enough to turn the magazine around. I'm very excited about the prospect of getting that fire lit again.

This prospect also makes me think of other things...while I love writing, I love publishing as well. I know that once the magazine gets on track and is up and running I will have more time to do some writing and publishing the books that I've got sitting on the back-burner; but, at the same time, I have all of these business things running through my head. People always tell me not to put the cart before the horse and not to put all my eggs in one basket. Know what I have to say to that? I'm pulling the cart myself because the damn horse was too slow and putting all of one's eggs in the same basket makes it so much easier to carry all those eggs and leaves one hand free for talking on the phone or texting. The fact of the matter is that Derby Gal is the flagship for my publishing company. That being said, I'm ready to plant to flag, bitches.
