So, I've decided to retire the Cowgirlie brand. Never fear, though, I am starting over from scratch...with a pen name and everything! The new company is called Gauddess Media and the website is still in development, but it will be at www.gauddess.com. I'm not entirely certain what is going to come out of it, but I'm very interested in doing some sort of an online community thing (kinda like Shine on Yahoo, but with a little more moxie). Where did the name come from, you ask? Okay, so I asked it for you. I wanted it to be something clever, so I played around with a bunch of different names - all of the really cool names were taken, so I made one up! I wanted it to have a feminist connotation, but I wanted it to be a little more fun. It's simple math: gaudy + goddess = gauddess.
It's going to take quite a bit of doing, but I'm very excited about this new project. In addition to the website, I'm doing a new book called "Blood on the Track" under the pen name Maggie O'Malley. I just love the name...I took the first name from Repo - Sarah Brightman's character, Blind Mag, is my favorite. And the O'Malley...well, it's just fun! I am hoping to have the book out in January, but we'll see. Now that I have a good hook up for printing, the hard part is much easier.
School? Yes, I am still in school. I was thinking about doubling up on my classes, but I am just doing one at a time and I'll be working ahead as much as I can so that I can have the free time to develop Gauddess. My first class is almost over and I have an A (the class average is a B). I may, at some times, try to double up in the future, though. I'm also thinking of doing a double major (Accounting and Sociology), then getting my master's; that is, until I think about the $40K that I will spend on school (add that to the $10K I spent at LSU - which only yielded a handful of transferrable credits).
And, when was the last time I talked about my big, fat ass? It's been too long, hasn't it? So, I'm on this kick of getting up at 5:30 in the morning and getting on my bike for 20 minutes. I'm sleepy, but I have a lot of energy for the day. It's not too bad. After work (which is the harder one to stick to), I am doing the Biggest Loser Cardio Max DVD. I like this DVD better than other workout DVDs. On most of the DVDs that you get, the people who are working out are all fit. The Biggest Loser one has normal people who are struggling with the workout right along with you. It gives me that extra push because there are people like me who are doing the exercise; as opposed to the little gym bunny that I could break in half.
