'tis the night before Xmas...

Nope, not Christmas...Xmas. No offense, but I'm not a christian...the only thing I like about this holiday is that I get two and a half days off from work to get some work done on my book. That's a lot of time that I get to use on the re-write. I'm waaaay behind on the book, but it's b/c I decided to make a few changes and do a big re-write instead of just editing. The story and the characters have evolved a little.

Went to work this morning and there wasn't much to do, so we pretty much just hung out until the deliveries were made...went home at 10:45. Had pizza, then a nice little nap. Worked out and now I'm getting ready to go to bed. Not 'cuz I wanna get up early Xmas morning, but b/c I wanna get up to see if the Mexican restaurant is open down the street so I can get some breakfast tacos...I kinda think they are, but probably not and that's gonna suck. I know they'll be open on Friday, so that's good. I have to get my oil changed then as well...I am about 2K miles over.

So, the big news today is that I've finally come up w/ some inkling of a plan for Derby Gal. The thing about failing as horribly as I did with it is that I can't just leave it at that. There were some successes with it, but it ended up tanking. I won't reveal the new plan yet, but it's going to be awesome if it works out the way it does in my head.
