2008 is flying right by...I can't believe it's already February. While the time is going fast, I don't feel rushed in anything at all. I just got a whole ton of stuff done today b/c I got the night off from work. Didn't watch the Superbowl, but I am damn glad that the Giants won...for some reason, I just don't like the Patriots-or maybe I just like to root for the underdog (goddess knows that I know what it's like to be the underdog).
Got a new computer the other day-I had been borrowing my mother's laptop, but it was starting to crap out b/c of overuse. I am always so excited about new stuff, especially computers and stuff...it's like xmas, but better. Another thing about having a new computer is the urge to use it...the urge to write on it. I'm feeling a little bit frisky about writing at the moment and I'm actually re-writing a slightly different twist to a book that I've written and re-written several times.
Hmmm, what else? Oh, I just finished watching 'Mr. Brooks' and I have to say that I was quite surprised. I'm not a huge fan of Kevin Costner...but Netflix sent it and I decided to give it a whirl. I really liked this movie. I would have changed the ending, just slightly, though. See, the daughter kills him at the end, but he wakes up. I would've made the daughter see her own 'imaginary friend' and follow in her father's footsteps...but that's me. It's kinda like that movie 'The Number 23.' Good movie, for the most part; some iffy stuff, but it had a lot of potential-the story was good, but could've been exectued better. Then the main character does the right thing at the end...it was disappointing to say the very least. Wow, sorry to go all movie critic on y'all. Oh, but I did watch a movie last night that was a little disturbing. I love documentaries...especially anything with a religious theme. Why? Because it offers a better understanding than anything you can read in books. People are like snowflakes and everybody takes things differently and does different things with them. It would take forever to talk to everybody, so I try to get as much as I can from wherever I can. What movie was so disturbing? It's called 'Jesus Camp' and it's about this evangelical group that is really aiming at kids.
I'm excited that I finally get to do my taxes tomorrow...after spending a couple of hours collecting receipts and waiting forever for all of my tax forms to come in. I had like 7 jobs last year, so it was a long wait. Funny, I had more jobs in one year than I did in the whole decade before it. Ah, that Saturn...she's a bitch.

Where has the time gone?

I can SO relate to you about the endings of some movies! If they would just listen and watch their own movies, some endings are OBVIOUS...why can't the writers see them? (Like for example, "Dave." At one point, the "President" tells the body guard he would look good in a sweater vest. At the end of the movie, when the guard steps in front of the door, he should have had on a sweater vest!) But... I ramble. If only they would ask us, Michele...we seem to have the same taste and ideas when movies are involved. BTW.. did you bring yourself to watch Saw IV? What did you think?
